"Huh?"Elizabeth stared at her brother for a moment, then smiled at his touch. "It's alright."She nibbled on a scone from the dish her butler had set down before them, her demeanor troubled and distant. Since her parents were dead, she would need to make funeral preparations. It made her want to die at the thought alone, but she had to be an adult about it. "We should... see Undertaker later,"Elizabeth mumbled once she'd set aside the barely-touched scone. She breathed in and slid her hand into Axel's for comfort. With a small, delicate smile, she leaned in a bit and whispered, "But I should teach you to be proper first."

Axel watched silently as his sister tried not to show any of the pain she felt. He hated himself for putting all this on her shoulders, and would gladly carry all of it, should she ask him to. Staying respectfully silent as Elizabeth voiced her idea, he subconsciously shudderd and bit his lip. Yuck. He could still taste the funeral director, even after all that time. That was gross.
The redhead allowed a smile on his otherwise expressionless features. "Yes. That would be wise."
"Okay, then attend me to my room," Elizabeth instructed in a formal manner, then rose, pushed in her chair, and made towards the door in a delicate stride. She hummed and smiled, danced up the stairs and wandered into her chambers. This would be fun! Though she wasn't the best teacher when it came to running the house. When Ciel learned about all this - if he wasn't too upset - he could teach him that, right? She sat in a chair by the fireplace, crossed her legs and seemed enthusiastic as she waited for her brother.

Axel nodded and dutifully trailed after Elizabeth, though at a much slower pace as he wasn't used to not seeing. After nearly tripping on some unseen piece of furniture, he finally made it to the stairs and silently plodded along until he reached her room. The demon knocked before he entered and softly shut the door after him. The flame-haired teen's alabaster lips curled into a soft smile before he gave a 'go-ahead' gesture. "Alright. Teach me."

Elizabeth motioned for him to sit in the chair across from her, then placed her hands neatly in her lap and sat with an upright posture. "First, you need to act elegant and refined. Like me!" She instructed, then gestured to herself before realizing he couldn't see her. She stood and came over, then helped him settle into a straight, confident position. "There," Elizabeth chirped, clapping her hands together in satisfaction. "Now, you must always act polite, but remember to have self-restraint when speaking with people beneath you." She returned to her seat and cleared her throat, thinking of what else she should mention. After another moment, it came to her. "Oh, and don't ever be all humble in front of others. Be more confident, like you know what you're doing even if you don't. You're the boss!"

Axel noded before accepting his sister's arm and rising gracefully from the chair. Though he could sense things around him, he allowed himserlf to be guided by Elizabeth past the hall and down the winding stairs. Bending his willowy frame only slightly to make her journey from mouth to ear easier, the flame-haired man straightened up and swallowed. All he had to do was ask the butler to get the carriage ready. "Get the carriage ready, please." He spent the next few moments wondering if he should have said please or not. It was polite and seemed the approriate thing to do. Axel's head shot up as Lizzie approached him, offering her his arm as she passed out the door. Because he had no idea where anything outside was, the redhead just allowed himself to be guided along.
"Brother? What's wrong?" Elizabeth asked with evident concern, a comforting hand on his arm. She gasped as he lashed out at the innocent people around them, fear causing her heart to pound. She had to do something. But what? What was going on? She started to run after him, knowing she couldn't leave him like this - until she came across the undertaker's shop. Hope lit up in her face for a scarce second, and she bolted inside out of breath, shut the door and called out in desperation. No one answered. "Mr. Undertaker!" Elizabeth cried again, but all there was to hear was silence. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she searched the room. He had to be here. There was no one else she could turn to! Just as she was about to give up, her hand rested on a small piece of paper on the undertaker's private desk. Maybe it was a note about his whereabouts? She unfolded it with haste and wrinkled her brow at the words. "P-pame...sto meros...opou den angelos i daimonas echei...paei prin." she read hesitantly. It sounded a lot like Greek. But what did it mean? There was a sudden flash of white light, and Elizabeth stumbled backwards with a shriek. Her words echoed around her, and before she had the chance to scream, she was sucked into another world.

"Ooh! I smell trouble!" The young noble cried with excitement as a crowd of people ran past them. He stood on his tip-toes to get a better look at what was causing so much terror, but his maid pulled him into her and shielded him from the stampede with her body. "Get off me!" He spat, shoving her backwards into the path of a runaway horse. She winced as it stomped over her and continued down the road, but made no sound to show her pain. "Please, Your Highness!" Hannah cried as she stood and intercepted him. "Stay-" He raised a hand with a cruel smile, which made her stumble back a step and tremble, "close to me," she continued with reluctance. Satisfied, the child lead her onward towards the chaotic scene, his eyes wide and near-insane with excitement. Alois watched from behind a barrel as the adherent man went wild on the innocents around him. Cool. He interested him in such a way that he made a decision not to let him escape it. Something about this man was just so... desireable. His demeanor became tense and irritated as the police arrived. Damnit. He strode out into the open the moment he was contained - much to his maid's horror - and stood with his arms crossed before the authorities. "What the hell is this all about?" "Are you insane, kid? Get back!" "Kid? Kid?! Do you know who I am?!" Alois cried in anger. The policeman threw up his hands in surrender, while the others tossed his bound and helpless new toy into their carriage. The man beside him cleared his throat and tipped his hat to the child. "Mr. Randall, I believe this is Lord Trancy." His eyes widened, but he didn't do the same as his second-in-command. "Our apologies, Your Highness. But this is a dangerous-" "I don't care, scum. I want to know where he's being taken." Aberline blinked and stepped back, lost for words. His superior, however, wasn't that put off with childish insults. "That's no concern of yours." With this, he grabbed his partner's arm and pulled him away towards the carriage, leaving the child fuming behind them. Alois clenched his hands and stomped a foot in a childish tantrum. The moment Hannah came up beside him, he pushed her forward without consideration. "Follow them!" he snapped, "find out as much about him as possible." The maid caught her balance and curtsied deep, then dissapeared around the corner and into the barren streets of London.
Hannah waited outside the Scotland Yard prison for her target to appear. When the carriage came into sight, she darted inside and resumed her role as a cell maid. She swept the floors in complete darkness, and didn't wince at the sudden light that signaled their arrival. Head down, Hannah continued to do her duties in silence as the man was forced past her into a cell and locked in. She let out a small squeal as someone bumped into her on their way out. "I'm sorry! Excuse me," Aberline blurted, turning her around so he could apologize to her face. She smiled a bit to show it was alright, but he didn't release her. Instead, his brows furrowed with interest. "Are you new here?" She opened her mouth to answer, but his superior shouted his name from the door, and he bid farewell in a rush before joining him. Hannah sighed in relief and stood a bit closer to the prisoner's cell once they were alone. Some of the others whistled and called her vulgar names, but she paid no mind to them. Besides, she was used to the abuse.

Axel stayed stock-still as the authorities came. He made no motion to defend himself, but his body did tense in a mock-version of self-control he so lacked. He hadn't wanted to hurt anybody, but this craving...He tried to think of other things and keep his mind on the task at hand. It didn't matter that he was forcefully bound. It didn't matter that he was thrown into the back of whatever. It just didn't matter. He deserved it all. His flaming drooping head snapped upwards as a certain scent wafted through his nostrils. Demon. But...where? The more he sniffed, the more the newborn demon picked up. There was another boy who had a demon. Sharp ears picked up the name. Trancy. Trancy... He had never heard of that name before. Trancy... And then the carriage started moving and the redhead had to keep breathing deeply, otherwise he would be sick.
The demon stumbled a bit as he was forced into his cage and he stood motionless for a while, at least until the fellow inmates started being innapropriate to the same demon as before. How the hell did she get there?. "Shut up before I make you! Got it memorized?" He growled, bristling to show that he meant it. Outstretching an arm, he felt for the back wall before leaning on it with his arms folded and his neck arched proudly. "So, why are you here, miss?"

Elizabeth blinked. What happened to me? The ground was cold and smooth beneath her. Am I dead? She looked through the window to see clouds - water? She pushed herself up onto her knees and peered around. There was something weird about this place. It couldn't be heaven, because the bridge she was on was crystal and not gold. Then the people; where were the people? "Sweetheart, what is it about a 'security drill' that you don't understand?" said a sugar-coated voice from behind her. Elizabeth leapt up and spun around to face a tall, slender woman in a dominatrix suit - so not what she expected. Tears streamed down her cheeks on their own. "I - I don't belong here!" she sobbed, "I wanted to find Mr. Undertaker to help me, but when I went into his shop-" "Whoa, hold on a minute," The woman cut in, her demeanor more sincere as she crouched down and took both hands in hers. "Sweetie, you mean to tell me Undertaker has something to POOF him here lying around at home?" That also wasn't what she expected. Elizabeth hesitated, then nodded. She cursed under her breath and stood, paced for a moment then returned to the scared and confused child. Did she know him? Could she help her, or at least tell her where he was? Sirens sounded around them, and without warning, the woman pulled her up and dragged her down the street at almost a run. "This is such a bad time," she mumbled, concern etched onto her face. She stopped inside an alley and spun the child around to face her. "Look, I don't have much time to chat, but since you're buddies with the old boss..." she paused and seemed almost reluctant, then continued, "Your wish is my command." Elizabeth blinked. "W-what do you mean?" The woman rolled her eyes with an impatient sigh. "I mean, what's the problem?" She snapped her head around as though any second someone might pop out and shoot them. The child sensed it and hurried to summon her voice. "My brother is a demon and he - he went insane! Oh, I wish he could just be human again, so he doesn't-" "Done!" She shouted, then pulled on her hand and lead her around in the shadows towards who-knew-what.

Celeste wanted to slap her inner compassion across the face. How the hell was she supposed to steal the most important book in the entire universe and be a Genie at the same time? She would need to do some serious, hard-core improv, that's how. The moment she reached the twins' room, she made the child hide in a corner and approached them. "There's been a change in plan. You two need to beat it!" she announced in a chipper manner. Both looked stunned as though she'd suggested a threesome or worse. "You can't be serious!" Kiki shrieked. "We're not allowed to leave the book!" her brother continued. This didn't seem to interest their superior in the slightest. All she had to do was put on the I'll tell daddy! act and the room was clear within seconds. Too simple. Celeste motioned for the child to come and held her hand as she stepped into the midnight darkness beyond. She said a word in her secret language, and the book formed in her hands. Light shattered around them to reveal a bright dome-shaped room with a shrine at it's center. She had to do this quick. "Um, excuse me," Elizabeth said, "What do we need this book for?" She leapt a bit in surprise as the woman snapped it shut and placed a hand on her head. "It's to make the bad people go away," she answered simply in a hushed tone with an out-of-place smile. Celeste opened it again and searched with haste, at one point tearing out a page and telling the child to hold onto it. She gasped and placed the book on its stand when she found what she wanted, then cleared her throat and recited the words. On the last one she hesitated. What in all hell is that? she leaned closer and squinted at the character. Was it Akri or Haqi? On impulse, she said the latter, and the entire room burst into white light. But something went amiss.

“R-Ronny?...”
Grella inquired with evident concern, a bowl of apple sauce in her hand as she stood frozen in the doorway. Her best friend was supporting himself against the back of the couch, his breathing labored and hair matted with sweat as he turned his head to look at her. “Don’t worry about me…I’m-“ The rest of his words were cut short as he began to convulse without warning, his body surrendering to the floor with an ungraceful thud. She let out a horrified shriek and clapped a hand over her mouth, the bowl slipping from her grasp and cracking on impact.
“Xiggy!”
The shinigami cried in a note of absolute distress, watching in anguish as Ronald’s skin began to burn free from his bones, his eyes and hair incinerated completely. When he became still, a shadow embraced him…and formed the black semblance of a Reaper.

"Zwaa?!" Xigbar snorted, jolting awake from the really good dream he was having. It took him a while to realize that he had been sleeping upside down on the cieling, but it wasn't enough to stop him from crashing onto the floor with a loud thud. "What is it, babe?" He yelled back, untangling himself from the mass of long black limbs and vaulting down the stairs in a single go. "What's the prob-Oh my God." The ex-Nobody watched in horror as his friend began decaying at a quickened pace, mouth wide open. To be honest, this freaked him out, and he had seen a lot of freaky things that would make grown men wet their pants. When it was over, the tall man stood stunned for a long while before lightly shaking his head and cautiously wandering over to the Reaper, his muscles tensed and ready to either jump back, or sumon his Arrow Guns. Either way, he felt uneasy. "Hey, Ron, you trying to be funny, or what? Dude, cus you know it's not working. How'd you even do that anyway-?" Xigbar's surfer-boy 'tude trailed off as something caught his attention. His head twisted as if on its own to a certain directiona s if he were the needle to a compass and that direction was north. "Babe, you feelin' that, too?" Okay, now this was just wierd. "Woah! Hey, dude, hold on now!" The grey-haired man leapt before the Reaper-Ronald with his arms out to deterr him from the door. "If you think you're goin' out there, think again. As if I'd let you go anywhere when you're looking like that. Because, dude, let me tell you, your face at the moment? Killer, dude. You can't go out in public lookin' that butt-ugly."
