Hidan tumbled out into nothingness. Within seconds he was submerged in water, drowning. "Dad!" He cried as he clawed at the surface, but the sound went unheard. Water filled into his lungs; he couldn't breathe. He grew weaker with each second that passed. Soon his soul hovered between consciousness, and he allowed his body to fall into the depths. The moment he reached the bottom, an obscured figure appeared before him. Jashin... He thought, not really understanding how he knew the name. He couldn't feel anything but the faint beating of his heart, powered by pure fear and adrenaline.

"Do you wish to live to be as strong as your father?"

Jashin said with a subtle echo, so clearly that it startled him into consciousness. Hidan tried to move his lips, but he was paralyzed from near-death and terror. But somewhere in his mind, he was able to think the words, I don't wanna die. The figure blurred into the water, then reached out and took his hand. In an instant, he was very much... alive. He didn't need to breathe or function to be so. He opened his eyes wide in shock and held his hand tightly.

"Then you must kill to survive..."

Hidan watched him, felt the burning, violent desire boil inside. His words made sense the moment he said them.

" It is a sin to show compassion, when all it is is false pain."

Yes. It made perfect sense.

"Swear your faith to me, and I will give you a life worth living."

Hidan studied their joined hands and tried his best not to cry. The bloodlust was still there, but he couldn't help but remember his parents and his sister. Even so, he was scared. He breathed in. "I swear," He repeated. The water swirled around them, and he watched in astonishment as his hand turned a pale, normal color, and began to grow. No. His whole body began to grow! Was he going to explode? Just when he started to panic, it all came to an abrupt end. "It is done," Jashin announced, and at the same time, released his hand. He gasped and struggled, stripped of all his support. But it didn't last. Someone grabbed him under both arms and forced him up through the water. When he broke the surface, he breathed in deep and coughed. He was pulled out onto solid stone beside the basin, where he lied staring up at the unfamiliar sunset... and even less familiar faces.

"What the hell did he do to me?" Hidan sputtered, then paused and appeared stricken. Not only did he feel twenty years older, but he had the mind-set to match! He couldn't wait to tell his parents how much he learned in about five seconds flat. But then... he wasn't about to see them anytime soon.

"He brought you to us, my lord."

He squinted at the raven-haired woman that towered over him. She wasn't smiling, but there was such a deep sense of emotion - respect, maybe? - in her demeanor that he thought she might cry. Okay, he was loving that, and had no idea why. He self-consciously touched the scar on his throat. Nah, he was sure it had something to do with the fact that he wasn't wearing clothes... which he didn't mind in the slightest.

But what was so special about him? Or better yet, why the hell did he feel so damn special?
Before he could do much more than wonder, two men reached down and tried to help him to his feet. He fought them off, proudly using the string of bad words he'd learned, which for some reason they appreciated.

"Not to be rude, but who the **** are you people?"  Hidan questioned with enough emphasis to prove he had no idea of the  situation he was in. And damn was he in for it. He allowed them to wrap a blanket around him and lead him to a nearby cottage, all the while listening to their explaination. So basically, these dudes were Jashinists, and he was their mesiah or some ****. That was awesome in more ways than one, but all he wanted to do was start fighting. Of course, he had to hear the commandments and all that crap first.

Rule # 1 -  Never leave a victim half-dead.
That sounded simple enough.
Rule # 2 - Never show mercy or compassion.
Well, he didn't have anyone to be compassionate about anymore, so no problem, right?
Rule # 3 - Always pray before and after a kill.
Whatever. How long would that take, a minute?

With all the important things outa the way, Hidan followed his host - who was, secretly to his pleasure, the raven haired woman - to his room for the night. He tossed his blanket aside and spawled out on the bed sheets. "I wonder if those bastards even miss me," He mumbled with some obvious hurt. With a long, drawn out sigh, he tucked himself in and rested his head on the pillow, one hand toying with his amulet - which he'd found out earlier was Jashin's symbol. Who cares? I'll run into them someday, and then I'll make sure dad gets his ass handed to him. He smirked at that and closed his eyes, falling asleep into a much-welcome nightmare.
