The moment she heard her crush's voice, Wendy gasped and embraced him. "I'm sorry," she said, not sure what she had done, but it sounded right.
Her eyes narrowed in response to his question, and turned when she released him to face the Excorcists. Sure enough, in the hands of the taller, more fearsome one rested his zanpakuto.
But he made no attempt to hand it over. "What? You thought I was gonna bust some brat outa prison without a souvenir?" Sokaro snickered as he twirled it around. His lieutenant crossed his arms in irritation and tried not to reprimand him - as he had wanted to, numerous times. When Wendy tried to take it from him, he held it up high and laughed.
This is ridiculous. Suman made a 'tch' sound and stepped in between them. "General, need I remind you that we're still in enemy territory?"
For a moment he thought those words would put him in a coma, but to his astonishment, Sokaro forced the sword roughly into his arms. He threatened him with some come-back, but he was too occupied to hear. In an almost respectful manner, Suman held out the weapon to its owner. "Your welcome."
---♥---
Mystogen raised his head to aknowledge the scene around him, but the motion made him wince in pain. He stared at the hand that held his ally's weapon; it was charred, as though its touch had burned him in secret.
"That's what happens when a sinner touches Innocence," Kanda informed him from where he stood, his entire body healed and unmarred. He reached down and snatched his katana, then returned it to the sheathe at his hip.
There was a sound in the near distance, loud and chaotic. The other Excorcists stopped their bickering, Wendy latched onto her crush, and their leader dismissed his wounds to lead them all through the woods and far from danger.

Hitsugaya felt the familiar feeling of the wind being sucked out of him and decided to merely grin and bear it. Deep down inside, he secretely enjoyed it when Wendy hugged him, but on te outside, he seemed to resist it, body seizing up and becomming stiff. His normally harsh icy eyes seeme to thaw a bit and an arm wrapped comfortingly around her. "It's not your fault, alright? Don't blame yourself for my problems." The all-too familiar hiss of Hyorinmaru caused his head to jerk up. Sokaro had it. His softened demeanor changed almost instantly, becomming frigid. "Give it back," he ordered, voice full of authority and he held out a hand to recieve it. Now he was getting pissed. One second more, and he would have commanded his sword to freeze the man wielding it, hand't the leiutenant spoken up. The glare slolwy began to fade, but not wholly until Hyorinmaru was again in his possession. The zen became known in his whole being, and the child became relaxed once his hand rested upn the comfortingly cool hilt of his blade. "Thank you." A smile was allowed on his face as Toshiro sheathed the weapon on his back, feeling whole again. The white-haired head turned at the noise and at the girl grapsing his arm. "Don't worry," the boy whispered into her ear, pecking her cheek befor anyone could notice before he slipped out of her grip, but his hand held hers as he brought Wendy along behind him.

OoC: It was the authorities out to get them lol.

Wendy stumbled, her face beat red as the wind chilled the spot wher her crush's lips had been. Her heart sighed, and she continued to run with him from their pursuers.
"What the hell are we retreating for?" the General snarled as he spun around on the spot. His lieutenant did the same, but to their surprise, the other Excorcist forced them both onward. "It's not worth it," he snapped, midnight hair caught in the wind behind him.
It was more than ten miles, and everyone's stamina remained the same. The reason for it became clear when Wendy fell behind.
Mystogen stopped short and doubled back within seconds. Their position was closer to home than the dungeons, but with the price on their heads, resting at this point was a bad idea.
"I'm fine!" she assured him through a breathless smile, which dissapeared the moment she noticed his hand. "Ohmygod!" - Kanda and Suman winced - "How? I don't understand... I healed it!"
He waved it aside and supported her, told her not to mind it. His wound was unimportant compared to their situation. But the pain was terrible - so terrible that he couldn't hold onto her. "I'm sorry." Some small distance ahead, Kanda made a 'tch' sound and continued onward without them. For some reason, he deserved it for the punishment to be that bad. So who was he to intervene?
